Nissan-owned Datsun has launched the all-new 2019 Datsun redi-GO in India at a starting price of Rs. 2.8 lakh.
The hatchback is available in rejigged 'D', 'A' and 'S' trims. The mid-spec T(O) variant is now discontinued.
Notably, the 2019 model retains the mechanical specifications of the outgoing variant. However, it has received a bunch of advanced safety features as standard.

The all-new Datsun redi-GO sports a cascading front grille housed in a chrome finished frame along with body-colored door handles, and blacked-out side mirrors.
Interestingly, the hatchback gives a look of an urban crossover, thanks to its tall hatch, 2,348mm wheelbase, and 185mm ground clearance.
Moreover, it is available in White, Grey, Silver, Ruby and Lime color options.

Inside the cabin
Inside, the five-seater Datsun redi-GO gets a blacked-out cabin featuring dual-tone upholstery, three spoked power steering wheel, and silver-colored coating on AC vents and door handles.
To comply with the new safety norms, the cabin comes equipped with driver airbag, rear parking sensor, high-speed warning, and seat belt reminder features as standard.

What about braking performance?
The 2019 Datsun redi-GO comes equipped with disc brakes on the front and drum brakes on the rear wheels. Also, as part of its March 2019 update, the hatchback gets ABS and EBD as standard.

Power and performance
The 2019 Datsun redi-GO is available with 0.8 liter and 1.0 liter BS-4 compliant petrol engine options.
The former is capable of producing 54hp of power and 72Nm of peak torque, while the latter churns out 68hp and 91Nm.
The engines are mated to a five-speed manual transmission. However, the bigger 1.0 liter engine also gets an option of automatic transmission.
