Renault-owned Dacia has launched its Spring EV hatchback in France. It is up for grabs in three trims: Standard, Business, and Cargo. Here are more details.
The car has a chrome-covered grille and black roof rails
The Dacia Spring EV looks similar to the Renault KWID barring the 'Dacia' grille and badging. It has a muscular bonnet, a wide air dam, and sleek headlamps. On the sides, it is flanked by roof rails, blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, and 14-inch designer wheels. Wrap-around LED taillights, a 'SPRING' logo, and a silvered skid plate are available on the rear end of the vehicle.
The vehicle has a 5-seater cabin with many safety features
The Dacia Spring EV has a spacious 5-seater cabin with fabric upholstery, cup holders on the front, key-less entry, and a power steering wheel. It houses a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The safety of the passengers is ensured by multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, crash sensors, an engine immobilizer, and a rear-view camera.
It runs on a 43hp electric powertrain
Dacia Spring EV packs an electric motor and a 27.4kWh battery pack. The powertrain delivers a combined output of 43hp/125Nm. The car offers a range of 305km on a single charge (based on the WLTP cycle). The battery can be charged from 0-80% in less than an hour using a 30kW DC fast charger.
