Custom Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 unveiled at 2024 Concours
A custom Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 has been showcased at the 2024 Savile Row Concours event in London. This unique motorcycle was created by Top Gear, in partnership with Royal Enfield and UK craftsmen. The bike's design and advanced engineering are its most notable features. Despite these upgrades, the bike remains mechanically unchanged. In India, it is powered by a 648cc twin-cylinder engine, churning out 47hp of power and 52Nm of peak torque.
Advanced features of the custom bike
The custom Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 features an advanced suspension setup, including NTR R3 fully-adjustable rear springs and Nitron's complete cartridge front forks. The bike's bespoke appeal is elevated by Bridgestone Battlax BT46 tires mounted on 36-spoke wheels that are crafted by Central Wheel Components of Birmingham. Additionally, Harris Performance, a Royal Enfield-owned company, contributed billet aluminum triple clamps, fully-adjustable clip-ons, rear set footpegs, and a streamlined fairing inspired by Harris's Magnum racer; integrating a round LED headlamp.
Additional enhancements and final touches
The bike's weight is reduced by 12.8kg thanks to an exhaust system sourced from Baak. The vibrant livery, made by Royal Enfield's in-house graphics team, is inspired by Alexander Calder's iconic BMW 3.0 CSL Le Mans car. Urban Rider added new wiring, grips, mirrors, and indicators while Hel Performance upgraded the hydraulic lines with stainless steel braided lines. Custom CNC luggage holders and bags crafted by Fastec Racing and Malle London complete the bike's unique look.
