Colove Excelle 400RR to be unveiled by end of 2022
What's the story
Chinese automaker Colove is working on a new sports bike called Excelle 400RR and has revealed its design sketches. To recall, its engine was patented last year.
The pictures suggest that it will have a twin-headlight setup, a windscreen, and an underbelly exhaust, among others.
It will be fueled by a 400cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine that puts out 73hp of power.
Context
Why does this story matter?
The Colove Excelle 400RR is expected to be a good-looking vehicle with great features and a small-displacement high-revving engine. It should be quite popular with buyers in the Chinese market.
If the vehicle arrives on our shores, the competition in the luxury sports bike segment will be raised. It will take on rivals such as the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
Design
The bike will flaunt a rider-only seat and LED headlights
The Colove Excelle 400RR will sit on a trellis frame and have an aggressive design, featuring a muscular fuel tank, fairings with vents, a rider-only saddle, a raised windshield, and an underbelly exhaust.
The motorbike should pack a digital instrument console, an all-LED setup for lighting, and ride on designer wheels. It will tip the scales at less than 160kg.
Information
It will attain a top speed of 220km/h
The Colove Excelle 400RR will draw power from a 400cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 73hp at 13,500rpm and a peak torque of 44Nm at 12,000rpm. The bike will hit a top speed of 220km/h.
Safety
There will be disc brakes on both the ends
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Colove Excelle 400RR would be equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with ABS for improved handling on the roads.
Suspension duties on the motorbike shall be taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a single-sided swingarm on the rear end.
