Ahead of launch, Citroen C5 Aircross makes way to dealerships

French automaker Citroen's first offering in India, the C5 Aircross SUV, will be launched in the coming weeks. In the latest development, the premium four-wheeler has started making its way to dealerships.
The C5 Aircross has already been unveiled and the pre-bookings for the SUV will commence in March. It will be offered in two variants: Feel and Shine.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is based on the PSA Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2) and has a sporty look, featuring a 2-part grille with the top one joining the headlights.
It also gets projector headlights with LED DRLs, LED taillights, chrome-finished dual exhaust tips, indicator-mounted ORVMs, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The car has a wheelbase of 2,730mm and a length of 4,500mm.

Power and performance
The Citroen C5 Aircross draws power from a BS6-compliant 2.0-liter diesel engine linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The mill generates 174hp of maximum power at 3,750rpm and 400Nm of peak torque at 2,000rpm.

A peek inside the cabin
The Citroen C5 Aircross has a 5-seater cabin with an electrically-adjustable driver's seat, a panoramic sunroof, a 2-zone automatic climate control, and a multifunctional power steering wheel.
It houses a six speakers and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
For the safety of passengers, there are six airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rear-view camera.
