Citroen C3 Aircross compact crossover found testing, design details revealed
French automaker Citroen is expected to launch its C3 Aircross crossover in India in the coming days. In the latest development, a test mule of the car sans camouflage has been spotted testing on the Indian roads, revealing its key design highlights. As per the pictures, it will have a twin-slat grille, blacked-out roof rails, and a split headlight setup. Here are more details.
The car will sport a chromed twin-slat grille
The Citroen C3 Aircross will have an eye-catching design, featuring a muscular bonnet, a chromed dual-slat grille, a split LED headlight cluster, and silvered skid plates. It will be flanked by blacked-out roof rails, B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, thick body cladding, and designer wheels. Also, wrap-around taillights and a window wiper will be present on the rear end of the car.
Likely to run on a 1.0-liter petrol engine
In India, the Citroen C3 Aircross should be offered with a BS6-compliant 1.0-liter petrol engine in both naturally aspirated as well as turbocharged formats. The mill should be linked to a 6-speed manual or an automatic gearbox.
The vehicle will have a spacious tech-loaded cabin
The Citroen C3 Aircross should have a spacious cabin featuring Advanced Comfort Seats, auto climate control, a colored head-up display, and a multifunctional steering wheel. It should house a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. In India, the Citroen C3 Aircross should cost less than the C5 Aircross SUV, which is likely to start at around Rs. 30 lakh. At this price point, the former will go against Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
