CFMoto 800MT adventure bike introduced in Europe: Details here
Chinese automaker CFMoto has finally launched its 800MT adventure bike in Europe. To recall, it broke cover last year. As for the highlights, the motorcycle has a sporty design and gets several electronic riding aids, including traction control and cruise control. It is powered by a 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that puts out a maximum power of 89.7hp.
Why does this story matter?
The CFMoto 800MT was unveiled in January last year and is the brand's biggest adventure motorbike. For a hefty price, it offers good looks, lots of features, and decent performance. The vehicle is likely to attract a lot of buyers in the Old Continent. If it arrives in India, the competition in the two-wheeler segment will be raised significantly.
The motorbike has spoked wheels and handguards
The CFMoto 800MT has a muscular fuel tank with extensions, split-style seats, a high-mounted upswept exhaust, a pillion grab rail, handguards, and a raised windscreen. The bike packs a digital instrument console, an LED headlight, and rides on spoked wheels shod in tubeless tires. It can store 19 liters of fuel, offers a seat height of 825mm, and tips the scales at 231kg.
It runs on a 90hp, 799cc engine
The CFMoto 800MT is fueled by a 799cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that puts out a maximum power of 89.7hp and a peak torque of 77Nm. The mill is linked to a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch.
It gets 43mm inverted front forks
In terms of safety equipment, the CFMoto 800MT is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control, ride-by-wire technology, and riding modes. Suspension duties on the motorbike are taken care of by 43mm inverted forks on the front side and a fully adjustable mono-shock unit on the rear end.
CFMoto 800MT: Pricing and availability
In Switzerland, the CFMoto 800MT adventure bike sports a price tag of CHF 13,990 (around Rs. 11.35 lakh). The brand is unlikely to introduce the vehicle on our shores in the near future.
