CFMoto 250SR fully-faired motorcycle revealed: Details here
Chinese automaker CFMoto is gearing up to introduce a new quarter-liter sports bike in its home market. Dubbed as 250SR, the upcoming motorcycle, whose prototype model was showcased earlier this year, will be a fully-faired variant of the 250NK naked bike. In the latest update, the images of the production ready model have leaked, revealing its details and hinting at an imminent launch.
CFMoto 250SR: At a glance
The leaked images suggest that the CFMoto 250SR will sport a fully-faired sporty design with muscular looking fuel tank, split headlamps, and stepped-up seats. The motorcycle will come with a dual-tone body color, attractive graphics work, and blacked-out alloy wheels. Further, it is said to house a fully-digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup.
Power and performance
The CFMoto 250SR will retain the mechanical specifications of its naked sibling, the 250NK. Hence, it will be powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled engine, which is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, and produces 26.5PS of power and 22Nm of peak torque.
Here's a look at the safety and suspension setup
On the safety front, the CFMoto 250SR is likely to come equipped with Brembo-sourced disc brakes on both the wheels along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. To handle suspension duties, the motorcycle is said to house conventional telescopic forks on the front and a monoshock suspension on the rear.
What about pricing and availability?
The CFMoto 250SR is likely to launch in China sometime around 2019-end or early 2020. In India, the company has partnered with Bengaluru-based AMW Motorcycles and recently launched four new sports bikes. Hence, we expect the company to introduce the sports tourer sometime soon. As for pricing, it is likely to cost somewhere around Rs. 2 lakh.
