CFMoto 250SR unveiled, but may not be launched in India
Chinese automaker CFMoto has taken the covers off its much-anticipated 250SR motorcycle. The quarter-liter sports tourer comes with a jaw-dropping design, a fully-digital TFT panel, and is offered in two variants: ABS and CBS. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the motorcycle is unlikely to hit the Indian roads but the company could bring its elder sibling, the 300SR, in the near future. Here's more.
CFMoto 250SR: At a glance
The CFMoto 250SR shares its styling cues with the 300SR model. The motorcycle comes with a fully-faired design featuring a muscular-looking fuel tank, angular-looking fairings, and body-colored accents around the alloy wheels. The motorcycle comes with a stepped-up seat, clip-on handlebars, and an underbelly exhausts. Moreover, it gets a fully-digital instrument console and all-LED fitments for lighting.
Power and performance
Under the hood, the CFMoto 250SR is powered by a 249.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine which is capable of producing 28PS of maximum power at 9,750rpm and 22Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm.
CFMoto 250SR: On the road
In terms of safety, the CFMoto 250SR comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS/combined braking system (CBS) to avoid skidding while braking. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock unit on the rear.
What about pricing and availability?
In China, the CFMoto 250SR starts at CNY 18,580 (approximately Rs. 1.91 lakh) for the CBS variant and CNY 21,680 (approximately Rs. 2.23 lakh) for the ABS model. Reportedly, the company will launch its elder sibling, the CFMoto 300SR, in India sometime later this year or in early-2021. Once launched, it will take on the likes of Suzuki Gixxer SF250 and KTM RC 200.
