    What's the story

US-based Canoo has unveiled its new electric pickup truck. Its pre-orders will commence in the second quarter of this year and deliveries should start in 2023.

The vehicle has a futuristic design and comes with features such as a pull-out bed and a storage compartment on the side. It can travel for more than 322km on a single charge.

    Here are more details.

    Exteriors

The truck has a fold-down worktable on the front

The Canoo electric pickup has vertically-positioned headlights, a thin vertical lighting strip on the tailgate, a fold-down worktable with extendable sides, multiple power outlets, a roof rack, and a camper shell with a roof-mounted tent.

It is flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, 18-inch wheels, and side-steppers. Below the steps, there is a cargo area that can accommodate a small cooler and a first aid kit.

    Features

The vehicle houses a modular pull-out cargo bed

The Canoo electric pickup has a 2/3-seater cabin with a rectangular-shaped steering wheel and a broad screen below the windshield which shows information like battery level and speed.

It houses a pull-out cargo bed whose length can be increased from 1.8 to 2.4 meters. The bed has a cargo divider system to secure items and flip-down tables on the sides which serve as workbenches.

    Performance

It delivers a range of over 322km per charge

The Canoo electric pickup is offered in single and dual-motor configurations. The latter comes with an all-wheel-drive system and delivers up to 600hp/746Nm. It delivers a range of more than 322km on a single charge.

The car also has brake-by-wire and steer-by-wire technology, a tow hitch receiver, and the ability to charge external devices for one day while losing only 10% range.
