BYD, the popular Chinese automaker famous for its electric vehicles (EVs), has launched the Yangwang U7. This is BYD's first ultra-luxury EV sedan.
The Yangwang U7 comes at under $90,000 and packs cutting-edge technology and premium features.
The vehicle features four electric motors generating close to 1,300hp of power. It can go from 0 to 100km/h in a mere 2.9 seconds.

Yangwang U7: Designed to compete with top luxury brands
BYD's ultra-luxury brand Yangwang, launched in early 2023, hopes to take on high-end brands like Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz.
The brand's first vehicle, the U8 off-road SUV, debuted in September 2023 at an estimated $150,000.
The Yangwang U9 electric supercar followed suit last year and is faster than a Ferrari.
Despite its luxury status, the Yangwang U7 is priced much lower than its competitors.

Yangwang U7: A blend of performance and luxury
The Yangwang U7 is bigger than Porsche's Panamera, with dimensions of 5,265mm in length, 1,998mm in width, and 1,517mm in height.
It also comes with BYD's DiSus-Z body control system that keeps the vehicle stable in the event of a tire blowout.
The car also features an advanced driving assistance system dubbed "God's Eye," offering Level 2 self-driving with its three Lidars, five radars, 13 high-definition cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars.

Yangwang U7: Advanced battery and charging capabilities
The Yangwang U7 is powered by a 135.5kWh BYD Blade battery, which promises a CLTC range of up to 720km.
The car can fast charge from 30% to 80% in under 20 minutes with DC fast-charging speeds of up to 500kW.
This combination of power and efficiency makes the Yangwang U7 an attractive option in the ultra-luxury EV market.

Yangwang U7: Interior and pricing details
The interior of Yangwang U7 is identical to that of U8, with a "Star Ring Cockpit" layout, BYD's DiLink smart cockpit system, and DeepSeek AI.
It boasts a 12.8-inch curved center screen, a 23-inch instrument display, and six-inch passenger entertainment screens.
The five-seat version of Yangwang U7 starts at just $87,700 while the four-seater variant comes at $94,300.
