2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R bike launched at Rs. 15 lakh
Japanese automaker Kawasaki has launched the 2021 version of its Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle in India. The bike has a refreshed look, new features like an all-LED lighting setup, and offers a host of electronic riding aids including electronic cruise control. It draws power from a BS6-compliant 998cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder engine linked to a 6-speed gearbox. Here are more details.
The bike is available in two colors
The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R sits on an aluminium twin-spar frame and features a muscular fuel tank, stepped-up seat, a raised windscreen, as well as the Kawasaki River Mark logo. The bike packs a full-LED lighting setup and a Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument cluster with support for the brand's RIDEOLOGY app. It is offered in two colors- Lime Green and Flat Ebony Type 2.
It runs on a 200hp, 998cc engine
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R draws power from a BS6-compliant 998cc, liquid-cooled, 4-cylinder engine linked to a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quick-shifter. The mill makes 200hp of maximum power at 13,200rpm and 114Nm of torque at 11,400rpm. The motor is equipped with a finger-follower valve actuation system and a new air-cooled oil cooler.
Disc brakes on both the wheels ensure safety
The 2021 Ninja ZX-10R is equipped with disc brakes, ABS, launch control, electronic cruise control, cornering management function, traction control system, engine brake control, power modes, riding modes, and an Öhlins electronic steering damper. Suspension duties on the bike are taken care of by Showa Balance Free Front Fork (BFF) and horizontal back-link unit with Showa Balance Free Rear Cushion (BFRC) on the rear.
2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R: Pricing and availability
In India, the 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R motorcycle carries a price-tag of Rs. 14.99 lakh. This makes it approximately Rs. 1 lakh costlier than the outgoing model priced at Rs. 14 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).
