Honda reveals prices of the BS6-compliant Civic (petrol) model
Honda Cars India has revealed the prices of the BS6-compliant versions of its premium sedan, the Civic. However, the Japanese automaker has only updated the petrol-powered variants of the car as of now and has temporarily discontinued the diesel-based models in the country. The updated sedan is offered in three variants and comes at a starting price of Rs. 17.93 lakh.
A look at the variant-wise pricing
The BS6-compliant Honda Civic is offered in three petrol-powered variants: V CVT, VX CVT, and ZX CVT. As far as pocket-pinch is concerned, the entry-level V CVT model is priced at Rs. 17.93 lakh, the VX CVT trim costs Rs. 19.44 lakh, and the top-tier ZX CVT variant is priced at Rs. 21.24 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
Meanwhile, here's what Honda Civic offers
The new Honda Civic shares the design with its BS4 counterpart. It comes with a sporty look featuring a coupe-inspired sloping roof design, and an appealing front fascia with a muscular bonnet as well as sleek grille and headlamps. The car houses indicator-mounted ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and all-LED fitments for lighting.
Inside the cabin
The Honda Civic offers a luxurious and feature-loaded cabin that can accommodate five people. It comes with power-adjustable seats wrapped in leather, a sunroof, and a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel. It also houses a centrally-mounted touchscreen infotainment panel with support for voice command, and offers connectivity features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Further, the sedan retains the safety elements of its BS4 counterpart.
And, what about engine and performance?
The new Honda Civic is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, that comes mated to an automatic CVT system. This motor is capable of producing 140bhp of maximum power and 174Nm of peak torque. Also, the car promises an ARAI-certified mileage of 16.5kmpl.
