Royal Enfield launches most-affordable variant of Classic 350
Royal Enfield has launched the BS6-compliant single-channel ABS variant of its popular motorcycle, the Classic 350, in India. The new motorcycle comes as the most-affordable variant in the Classic line-up and is priced at Rs. 1.57 lakh. To recall, the automaker had launched the BS6-ready dual-channel ABS version of the cruiser at Rs. 1.65 lakh in January. Here are more details.
A look at the Royal Enfield Classic 350
The Royal Enfield Classic 350 sits on a single downtube frame and features a naked street design with a single-type seat and several retro elements including rounded halogen headlamp, turn indicators, an analog instrument cluster, and spoked wheels. Besides that, the motorcycle gets a chrome treatment on the exhaust and is offered in three additional color options.
Power and performance
The new Royal Enfield Classic 350 is powered by the same BS6-compliant 346cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that we have seen on the dual-channel ABS variant. The motor is capable of producing 19.3PS of maximum power and 28Nm of peak torque.
What about safety and suspension setup?
In the braking department, the updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear ends, along with single-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks up front and a dual-shock absorber on the rear.
What is the pocket-pinch
The BS6-compliant single-channel ABS variant of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 carries a premium of around Rs. 11,000 over its BS4 counterpart, and is priced at Rs. 1.57 lakh. The bookings for the motorcycle are underway and select dealerships have commenced the deliveries as well. Lastly, it takes on the likes of Jawa motorcycle and Benelli Imperiale 400.
