Hero launches BS6-compliant Super Splendor 125 at Rs. 67,300
Hero MotoCorp has launched the BS6-compliant version of its commuter motorcycle, the Super Splendor 125, in India. The updated model carries a premium of around Rs. 5,500 over the outgoing variant, and comes at a starting price of Rs. 67,300. The motorcycle now gets an updated engine with XSens technology and is said to be 19% more powerful than its BS4 counterpart. Here's more.
2020 Hero Super Splendor 125: At a glance
The 2020 Super Splendor 125 sits on a new diamond frame and gets a semi-faired look with a flat-type seat, handlebar-mounted rearview mirrors, and an attractive paint job as well as graphics work. The motorcycle houses an analog instrument console and gets a blacked-out treatment on the alloy wheels, engine, and exhaust. Further, it also gets a new metallic Nexus Blue color scheme.
Power and performance
The 2020 Hero Super Splendor 125 is powered by a BS6-compliant 125cc fuel-injected engine with XSens technology. This motor is capable of producing 10.73bhp of maximum power at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. Notably, the motorcycle also gets company's i3S (idle start-stop) system for cleaner combustion and improved fuel efficiency.
What about safety and suspension setup?
Along with great features, Hero MotoCorp has made sure of the rider's safety as the new Super Splendor 125 is equipped with disc brake on the front wheel (on top-variant), drum brake on the rear wheel, along with combined braking system. To manage suspension duties, the motorcycle houses telescopic forks up front and a 5-step adjustable dual-shock unit on the rear.

As for the pocket-pinch, the 2020 Hero Super Splendor 125 costs Rs. 67,300 for the entry-level self-drum alloy wheel variant and Rs. 70,800 for the self-disc alloy model. Lastly, the motorcycle competes against Honda CB Shine and Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon.
