    What's the story

To comply with the upcoming emission norms, Bajaj Auto has launched the BS6-ready version of its fully-faired motorcycle, the RS200.

The sports tourer carries a premium of Rs. 3,000 over its BS4 model and is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh.

Other than the engine upgrade, it remains largely the same and retains the styling cues and features of the outgoing model.

    Here's our roundup.

    Design

A look at the Bajaj Pulsar RS200

The new Pulsar RS200 borrows its styling from its BS4 sibling. It sits on a perimeter frame and features an eye-catching fully-faired design with a muscular fuel tank, stepped-up seat, and an attractive paint job as well as graphics work.

The motorcycle houses a semi-digital instrument console and runs on blacked-out alloy wheels.

Moreover, it gets all-LED fitments for headlight, turn indicators, and taillamps.

    Information

    Power and performance

The updated Bajaj Pulsar RS200 draws power from a BS6-compliant 199.5 cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, that comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The motor is capable of producing 24bhp of maximum power at 9,750rpm and 18.7Nm of peak torque.

    Safety

Bajaj Pulsar RS200: On the road

In terms of safety, the new Bajaj Pulsar RS200 comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear ends, along with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Meanwhile, the suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front and a mono-shock unit on the rear.

    Information

And, here's a look at the pricing

As for the pocket-pinch, the BS6-compliant Bajaj Pulsar RS200 costs Rs. 3,000 more than its BS4 sibling. It is priced at Rs. 1.45 lakh and takes on the likes of KTM RC125 and Yamaha YZF-R15 V3.0.
