The updated model, priced at Rs. 1.24 lakh, comes with an improved fuel-injected engine and is Rs. 10,000 costlier than its BS4 counterpart. Notably, select company dealerships have started accepting the bookings for the sports tourer at a token amount of Rs. 5,000. Here's our roundup.
BS6 Bajaj Pulsar NS200: At a glance
The BS6-compliant Bajaj Pulsar NS200 looks similar to the outgoing variant. It comes with a semi-faired sporty design featuring a muscular-looking fuel tank, an angular side profile, an attractive paint job as well as catchier graphics. The motorcycle gets stepped-up seats, split grab rail, handlebar-mounted rearview mirrors, and blacked-out alloy wheels with body-colored accents.
Power and performance
Under the hood, the new Bajaj Pulsar NS200 is fueled by a BS6-compliant 199.5cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. In the BS4 guise, the motorcycle is capable of producing 23.5bhp of maximum power and 18.3Nm of peak torque. Bajaj has not revealed the mechanical specifications of the new model but with the BS6 update, we might witness a marginal drop in the power figures.
What about safety and suspension setup?
In the safety department, the BS6-compliant Bajaj Pulsar NS200 comes equipped with disc brakes on both the ends, along with single-channel ABS for better grip on the road. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front and a mono-shock unit on the rear.
Finally, what is the pricing?
The BS6-compliant Bajaj Pulsar NS200 carries a premium of Rs. 10,000 over its BS4 counterpart and is available for purchase at Rs. 1.24 lakh (ex-showroom). At this price point, it competes against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 and Yamaha YZF R15.
