How much BS6-ready Bajaj Dominar 400 will cost
Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch the BS6-compliant version of its flagship motorcycle, the Dominar 400, in India sometime soon. In the latest development, several reports have claimed that the new model will cost Rs. 1.91 lakh, which makes it Rs. 1,750 costlier than its BS4 counterpart. Apart from the BS6 upgrade, the new motorcycle will remain the same as the outgoing variant.
Bajaj Dominar 400: At a glance
The upcoming Dominar 400 would borrow its styling cues from its BS4 sibling. It will sit on a beam type perimeter frame and feature a naked street design with dual-tone color scheme, blacked-out alloy wheels, and all-LED fitments for lighting. Apart from that, the updated model could also get a new Red color scheme, which is currently offered in international markets.
Power and performance
The Bajaj Dominar 400 will be powered by the same 373.3cc liquid-cooled engine, but it will be updated as per the BS6 norms. In the current state of tune, the motor churns out 40PS of maximum power and 35Nm of peak torque. According to reports, the new model will retain these power figures even after the BS6 update.
Bajaj Dominar 400: On the road
On the safety front, the Bajaj Dominar 400 will come equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for improved road handling. The suspension duties on the motorcycle will be taken care of by inverted telescopic forks on the front and a mono-shock unit on the rear.
And, what about pricing?
As far as pricing is concerned, the new Dominar 400 will be Rs. 1,750 costlier than the outgoing model, and will be available at Rs. 1.91 lakh. Once launched, it will take on the likes of KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR 310.
