Brixton Crossfire 500 XC, with sporty looks, goes official
Austrian automaker Brixton Motorcycles has finally launched its Crossfire 500 XC scrambler model in China. Its arrival on our shores seems unclear at the moment. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler bears a rugged look and gets wire-spoked wheels and a flat-type seat. It is powered by a 486cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that puts out a maximum power of 47hp.
Why does this story matter?
The XC is a hardcore scrambler variant of the brand's largest bike, the Crossfire 500. Its good looks and features should attract a lot of customers in the Chinese market. However, the motorbike is unlikely to make its way to our shores, as the brand has no presence here. Also, it seems too costly for the segment.
The bike has high-set handlebars and a round headlight
The Brixton Crossfire 500 XC sits on a tubular steel perimeter frame and has a Desert Brown-colored muscular fuel tank with rubberized grips, a flat-type ribbed seat, a prominent beak, and an upswept exhaust. The motorcycle packs a circular headlamp with a grille and high-set handlebars. It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoked wheels shod in dual-purpose tires.
It is fueled by a 47hp, 486cc engine
Under the hood, the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC draws power from a 486cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The motor churns out a maximum power of 47hp and a peak torque of 43Nm.
It gets inverted front forks
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Brixton Crossfire 500 XC scrambler is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. It should also get ABS. Suspension duties on the motorbike are taken care of by fully-adjustable inverted forks on the front side and a mono-shock unit with adjustable preload on the rear end.
Brixton Crossfire 500 XC: Pricing and availability
