Bounce Infinity launches E1X e-scooter with battery swapping feature
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up, Bounce Infinity, has introduced a new battery-swappable version of its popular Infinity E1 scooter. Named the Bounce Infinity E1X, this model is set to be available nationwide from June 2024. In our market, the E1X is priced between ₹55,000 to ₹59,000. It is designed to be compatible with top battery-swapping networks across the country.
A look at the E1X e-scooter
The E1X offers two-speed variants, reaching up to 55km/h and 65km/h, catering to diverse user needs. The scooter requires minimal changes for integration with multiple battery-swapping networks. Users can conveniently swap their depleted batteries with fully charged ones at any network station. Bounce Infinity is also creating a faster variant with a top speed of 92km/h for certain export markets.
CEO highlights India's potential in EV market
Co-founder and CEO of Bounce Infinity, Vivekananda Hallekare, emphasized the untapped potential of India's electric vehicle market. He stated, "India is the world's second-largest two-wheeler market, yet the true benefits of EVs haven't been leveraged fully." Hallekare believes that EVs offer significant innovation opportunities, including making vehicles cheaper, by separating the battery cost from the vehicle.
Bounce Infinity announces price reduction on E1+ scooters
In a related development, Bounce Infinity has announced a 21% price cut on its E1+ range of electric scooters. The E1+ now sells at ₹89,999, down from the previous price of ₹1.13 lakh (ex-showroom). The E1+ flaunts removable batteries that can be charged using a 15Amp wall socket, and comes with quick charging and an extended range.
