Boom Corbett goes official in India at Rs. 87,000
Boom Motors has launched its Corbett moped in India. It is available in two variants, namely 14 and 14 EX, and its price starts at Rs. 86,999. The vehicle has an eye-catching design and gets full-LED illumination and 14-inch alloy wheels. It is fueled by an electric powertrain and promises a range of up to 200km per charge. Here are more details.
Why does the story matter?
Thanks to its quirky design and excellent performance, the Boom Corbett will stand out among a sea of electric two-wheelers in the country. Its bookings have started and deliveries will commence from January next year. Once the state subsidies come into play, the vehicle's prices will go down considerably, thus ensuring its competitiveness in the market.
The vehicle is offered in four color options
The Boom Corbett sits on an exoskeleton frame and has a flat footboard, a flat-type seat with a pillion grab rail, and a circular headlight. The moped packs an all-LED lighting setup, a 30-liter under-seat storage compartment, theft and accident detector, and rides on 14-inch alloy wheels. It is available in Panther Black, Whale Blue, Mantis Green, and Beetle Red shades.
It attains a top-speed of 75km/h
Boom Corbett 14 packs a 3kW motor and 2.3kWh battery. It hits a top-speed of 65km/h and promises a range of 100km. Meanwhile, the 14 EX gets a 4kW motor and a 4.6kWh battery. It offers a top-speed and range of 75km/h and 200km, respectively.
It gets twin rear shock absorbers
In terms of safety equipment, the Boom Corbett is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with a combined braking system for improved handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the moped are taken care of by a trailing link 4-point setup on the front side and twin shock absorbers on the rear end.
