BMW M4 Competition debuts in India at ₹1.53 crore
BMW has introduced the M4 Competition, one of its most potent models, in the Indian market. The high-performance coupe is powered by BMW's renowned S58 six-cylinder turbo engine and features the xDrive all-wheel drive system. The vehicle will be sold in India as a Completely Built-Up (CBU) model. It takes on rivals such as the Porsche Cayman and the 911.
M4 Competition's engine and performance details
The M4 Competition houses a turbocharged S58 six-cylinder in-line petrol engine, a product of BMW's M division. This robust 3.0-liter power unit is paired with an all-wheel drive system. The engine delivers an impressive 530hp and a peak torque of 650Nm, enabling a swift 0-100km/h sprint in just 3.5 seconds. Power from the engine is directed to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission.
M4 competition offers customizable driving modes
The M4 Competition provides three distinct setups in both automatic and manual mode: Comfort-oriented, Sports-focused, or Track-optimized. The setup button on the center console allows direct access to settings options for the engine, chassis, steering, and braking system, as well as traction control. Additionally, Efficient, Sport and Sport Plus modes are available to adjust the engine's performance. The Comfort, Sport or Sport Plus chassis modes offer three settings for electronically controlled dampers.
