    BMW M340i xDrive launched in India at Rs. 63 lakh

    What's the story

    German automaker BMW has launched its first locally assembled M Performance model, the 3 Series M340i xDrive in India.

    As for the highlights, the car has a sporty look and an upmarket cabin with a host of features. It draws power from a BS6-compliant 3.0-liter petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

    The car comes in three color options

    The BMW M340i xDrive has an eye-catching design, featuring a sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet, the company's signature kidney grille, a wide air vent, and sleek headlamps.

    It is flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, and designer multi-spoke alloy wheels. Wrap-around taillights and dual chrome-tipped exhaust tips are present on the rear.

    It comes in Sunset Orange, Dravit Grey Metallic, and Tanzanite Blue colors.

    It runs on a 387hp, 3.0-liter engine

    The BMW M340i xDrive runs on a BS6-compliant 3.0-liter, twin-turbo, 6-cylinder petrol engine that makes 387hp of power and 500Nm of torque. The mill is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with an xDrive all-wheel-drive system. The vehicle can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.4 seconds.

    The sedan has a tech-savvy cabin

    BMW M340i xDrive has a premium cabin with 3-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, Alcantara upholstery, M Sport brakes, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and an M Sport steering wheel.

    It packs a wireless charger and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment panel with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

    Customers can customize their vehicle using Motorsport, Enthusiast, and Racer's Pack accessory packages.
