Bespoke Bentley Bentayga Speed is a love letter to cosmos
British automaker Bentley's Mulliner customization division has revealed a Space Edition variant of its Bentayga Speed car in the US. The one-off luxury crossover is inspired by the cosmos and flaunts extensive cosmetic changes both inside and out. Under the hood, it is fueled by a 6.0-liter, twin-turbo, W12 engine that puts out a maximum power of 626hp.
Why does this story matter?
Bentley claims that the popularity of its Mulliner customized vehicles is gradually increasing. The division has completed 100 projects this year, which is double of what it did at this point in 2021. The bespoke Bentayga Speed Space Edition is great to look at and offers superb performance. Sadly, it is a one-off creation and will not be available to buyers at large.
The car sports a 'Cypress' shade and twin exhaust tips
Bentley Bentayga Speed Space Edition sports black trim pieces instead of chrome ones, Orange Flame accents around the entire lower edge, a large black grille, oval-shaped headlights, and a wide air vent. It has roof rails, ORVMs, multi-spoke wheels, eye-shaped taillights, and dual exhaust tips. The car is also adorned in a dark metallic gray color with green undertones, called Cypress.
It attains a top-speed of 306km/h
Bentley Bentayga Speed Space Edition draws power from a 6.0-liter, twin-turbo, W12 engine that makes 626hp/900Nm and is linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The car can sprint from 0-100km/h in 3.9 seconds and hit a top-speed of 306km/h.
The treadplates show planets orbiting a solar system
The Space Edition has a Galaxy Stone trim for the instrument panel surround and door panels, and an orange-stitched "Bentley" emblem on the seatbacks. A dual-tone Beluga and Porpoise upholstery and Orange Flame accents on the center spoke of the steering wheel, doors, and dashboard are offered. Finally, there are custom treadplates that show planets orbiting a solar system when the doors are opened.
What about its availability?
The Bentley Bentayga Speed Space Edition has been commissioned by the Bentley Orlando dealership in Florida, USA and its pricing details are unavailable. However, it surely carries a premium over the standard Bentayga, which starts at $166,425 (around Rs. 1.26 crore).
