Everything we know about Benelli TRK 552X adventure bike
Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli, has unveiled its latest middle-weight adventure bike, the TRK 552X. This new model showcases both performance and aesthetic enhancements over its predecessor, the TRK 502. The most significant change in the front profile is the switch from halogen bulbs to dual-LED headlights. Additionally, modifications include an enlarged windscreen and a more pronounced beak.
Aesthetic upgrades and advanced features
The fairing and fuel tank shrouds of the TRK 552X have been expanded, giving the bike a more visually striking front. Despite these changes, the tail section remains similar to that of its predecessor. The new model is equipped with a 5.0-inch full-color TFT screen displaying various ride information. However, it does not include riding modes, or a traction control system but comes standard with a dual-channel ABS.
Powerful engine and unique wheel design
The TRK 552X is powered by a larger 552cc, parallel-twin engine that delivers 60hp and 55Nm, making it one of the most potent adventure bikes in its segment. The bike features Marzocchi inverted forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear. Interestingly, it comes with a 19-inch front cross-spoke wheel, which some might find unusual, as a 21-inch front rim would have made it more off-road-ready.
Availability and potential competition
Currently, the TRK 552X is available for sale in China and is expected to reach European markets in the coming months. An India launch is anticipated before year-end with a likely price increase. The bike's closest competitors currently are the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 390 Adventure. There are also rumors about Kawasaki planning to re-launch the Versys X-300 in India.
