Benelli TRK 251 becomes expensive in India: Check new prices
Italian automaker Benelli has revised the price of its adventure tourer bike, the TRK 251, in India. The two-wheeler was launched at Rs. 2.51 lakh last December and is now dearer by Rs. 3,000. After the price-revision, it starts at Rs. 2.54 lakh for the Dark Gray model. The bike has a TRK 502-inspired look and is powered by a 249cc engine.
Why does this story matter?
After raising the price of its 502C cruiser, Benelli has now revised the price of its TRK 251 adventure tourer. Although the hike is not too hefty, it reveals how the automaker plans to tackle the increased input costs. In India, the main rivals of the TRK 251 are the KTM 250 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels
The Benelli TRK 251 sits on a steel trestle frame and has an 18-liter muscular fuel tank, a prominent beak, a raised windscreen, a split-style seat with a pillion grab rail, a side-slung exhaust, and a luggage carrier. It packs an LCD instrument console, a split-style halogen headlight, and an all-LED lighting setup. The two-wheeler rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and weighs 164kg.
It is powered by a 26hp, 249cc engine
The Benelli TRK 251 draws power from a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motor generates a maximum power of 25.4hp at 9,250rpm and a peak torque of 21.1Nm at 8,000rpm.
It has dual-channel ABS for rider's safety
To ensure the safety of the rider, the Benelli TRK 251 is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS for improved handling on the roads. Suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by inverted forks on the front side and an oil-damped telescopic coil spring on the rear end.

Following the latest increase in price, the Benelli TRK 251 is priced at Rs. 2.54 lakh for the Dark Gray model and Rs. 2.64 lakh for the Pure White and Black variants (all prices, ex-showroom).
