Benelli India to launch a new superbike on October 25
Benelli India is gearing up to introduce a new motorcycle in the country. The Italian automaker has sent out press invites for a launch event which is slated to happen on October 25. And going by the reports, it is expected that the company might launch its much anticipated Imperiale 400 cruiser motorcycle. Here's all about it.
Benelli Imperiale 400: At a glance
The Benelli Imperiale 400 sits on a double cradle frame featuring a naked design with dual-tone paint scheme, bulbous headlamp as well as indicators, and split seats. The spoked wheels and heavy chrome work around the engine, exhaust as well as mirrors add to its retro styling. Further, the motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 12-liter and a wheelbase of 1,450mm.
Power and performance
The Benelli Imperiale 400 is powered by a 373.5cc air-cooled, single cylinder engine which is capable of producing 19.71PS of power at 5,500rpm and 28Nm of peak torque at 3,500rpm. For transmission duties, the motorcycle gets a five-speed manual gearbox.

In the safety department, the Benelli Imperiale 400 comes equipped with 300mm disc brake on the front, 240mm disc brake on the rear, and dual-channel ABS as standard. Also, the motorcycle houses 41mm telescopic forks on the front and a dual-shock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
And, what will be the pricing?
There is no official word about Benelli Imperiale 400's India pricing as of now. However, going by the specs, we expect it to cost somewhere around Rs. 2.5 lakh. Once launched, it will lock horns with rivals such as Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Jawa.
