Benelli 502C bike to launch in India by next year
Italian automaker Benelli is all set to launch the 502C motorcycle in India soon. Speaking to ZigWheels, Vikas Jhabakh, Managing Director-Benelli India, confirmed that the company would bring the high-capacity cruiser in the country by 2020. Notably, it will be powered by the same engine as Benelli TRK 502 and will arrive via completely knocked down (CKD) route. Here's our roundup.
Let's take a look at the Benelli 502C
Benelli 502C features a Ducati Diavel 1260-like naked look with a muscular looking fuel tank, stepped seats, dual exhausts, and blacked-out mirrors as well as alloy wheels. The motorcycle houses a digital instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup for headlamps, side indicators, and taillamps. Further, it has a wheelbase of 1,580mm and a fuel tank capacity of 21.5 liters.
Power and performance
The Benelli 502C is powered by a 500cc liquid-cooled, SOHC engine which is capable of producing 46.8bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. Further, the engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and promises a mileage of 27kmpl.

On the safety front, the Benelli 502C comes equipped with 280mm disc brakes on the front wheel, 240mm disc brakes on the rear wheel, and dual-channel ABS as standard. The motorcycle houses 41mm upside-down forks on the front and a monoshock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
And, what will be the pocket pinch?
In India, the Benelli 502C is expected to arrive at a price upwards of Rs. 5 lakh. However, official details will be revealed during launch event itself. Lastly, the motorcycle will lock horns with rivals such as Harley-Davidson Street 750 and Kawasaki Vulcan S.
