Pulsar RS-200 (with dual-channel ABS) to cost Rs. 1.43 lakh
Bajaj Auto, India's leading two-wheeler manufacturer, is working to launch the dual-channel ABS variant of its popular Pulsar RS 200 motorcycle. According to a report, the upcoming sports tourer will cost Rs. 1.43 lakh, making it nearly Rs. 1,400 costlier than the single-channel ABS model. Meanwhile, the motorcycle is likely to retain the design and mechanical specifications of the existing model. Here's more.
A look at the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200
This new variant will feature a fully-faired aggressive look with a muscular fuel-tank, a tall windshield, and angular-looking front apron as well as fairings. The motorcycle will offer split seats and get a blacked-out treatment on the mirrors, alloy wheels, and rear tire hugger. Furthermore, it will house a digital-analog instrument cluster and an all-LED setup for lighting.
Power and performance
This variant of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 will be powered by a 199.5cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DTS-i engine which comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. This mill is capable of producing 24.5PS of power and 18.6Nm of peak torque. Reportedly, the automaker will update this engine before April 2020 deadline to meet the upcoming emission norms.
Bajaj Pulsar RS 200: On the road
On the safety front, the updated Pulsar RS 200 will come equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. To handle suspension duties, the motorcycle will house telescopic forks with anti friction brush on the front and a monoshock absorber on the rear.
And, what about pricing?
There is no official word on the pricing of the dual-channel ABS variant of the Pulsar RS 200 yet. However, going by the report, the sports tourer will retail at Rs. 1,43,016 (ex-showroom, Jaipur).
