Bajaj Dominar 400's price increased in India: Details here
Bajaj Auto has increased the price of its popular flagship motorcycle, the Dominar 400, in India by around Rs. 6,000. Notably, the motorcycle was launched at Rs. 1.73 lakh and this is the second price hike since its launch. With the revised pricing, the bike now costs Rs. 1.80 lakh as against its previous price of Rs. 1.74 lakh. Here's our roundup.
What's the reason behind this price hike?
Given the overwhelming demand, Bajaj sold 1,888 units of Dominar 400 in May outselling Royal Enfield's entire 500cc range. The increased demand could be the reason behind price hike. Further, Bajaj is also planning to introduce two new color variants of the motorcycle.
Bajaj Dominar 400: At a glance
The Bajaj Dominar 400 features a sports-naked body, dual-tone paint job, split seats, alloy wheels, and double barrel exhausts. Talking about electronic features, it gets a digital instrument console and an all-LED setup including headlight, taillamps, and indicators. Moreover, the motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1,453mm and a ground clearance of 157mm.
Power and performance
The Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by a 373.3cc air-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine which is capable of producing 40PS of power at 8,650rpm and 35Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and promises a city mileage of 25.59kmpl. Moreover, the bike has an actual top speed of 137kmph and can do 0-100kmph in 7.38 seconds.

On the safety front, the Bajaj Dominar 400 comes equipped with 320mm and 230mm disc brakes on the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS. To handle the suspension duties, the bike gets 43mm USD forks on the front and Multi-step adjustable monoshock with Nitrox suspension on the rear side.
