Audi S5 Sportback to debut in India on March 22
Audi has announced that it will launch its S5 Sportback model in India on March 22. It was slated to debut last year but the plans got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As for the highlights, the sedan has a sporty look and an upmarket cabin with many features. It is powered by a 3.0-liter, turbo-petrol engine linked to an 8-speed AMT gearbox.

The car sports a large single-frame grille
The Audi S5 Sportback has an eye-catching design, featuring a sloping roofline, a muscular bonnet, the brand's signature single-frame grille with 'S5' badging, and sleek LED headlights with DRLs. It is flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, indicator-mounted ORVMs, chrome garnish around the windows, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Sleek wrap-around LED taillamps and quad exhaust tips grace the rear section of the vehicle.
It will run on a 349hp, 3.0-liter engine
In India, the Audi S5 Sportback will draw power from a BS6-compliant 3.0-liter turbo-petrol engine linked to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The mill churns out 349hp of maximum power, 500Nm of peak torque, and allows the vehicle to sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
The vehicle has a tech-loaded cabin
The Audi S5 Sportback has a spacious blacked-out cabin with Alcantara seats, carbon fiber inserts, multi-zone climate control, and a flat-bottom steering wheel. It packs a virtual cockpit and a 'floating' touchscreen infotainment console with support for connected car technology. Multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, and a parking camera ensure the safety of the passengers.
Audi S5 Sportback: Pricing and availability
Details related to the pricing and availability of the Audi S5 Sportback in India will be announced at the launch event on March 22. However, it is expected to carry a price-tag of around Rs. 80 lakh. (ex-showroom).
