    What's the story

German automaker Audi has pulled the covers off its second fully-electric SUV, the e-tron Sportback, at the 2019 LA Auto Show.

The all-electric car promises an impressive range of 446km on a single charge and can do a 0-100kmph sprint in 5.7 seconds.

It is likely to hit the Indian roads in 2021.

    Here's our roundup.

    Exteriors

First, a look at the Audi e-tron Sportback

The Audi e-tron Sportback comes with an eye-catching sporty design featuring a sloping roof, a massive chrome grille, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and triangular air inlets.

The car also gets premium elements such as a chrome frame surrounding the windows, silver-colored skid plates, and an LED strip that connects the taillamps.

Furthermore, it houses matrix LED headlamps with DRLs and LED taillights.

    Interiors

    Inside the cabin

Inside, the five-seater e-tron Sportback features a hi-tech and luxurious cabin with a panoramic sunroof, contour seats with optional ventilation and massage functions, and optional virtual exterior mirrors with cameras.

The car also houses a 12.3-inch Audi's fully-digital virtual cockpit setup along with a 12.1-inch infotainment panel and another 8.6-inch touchscreen display which is useful for text input and climate control.

    Powertrain

    Under the hood

The e-tron Sportback houses two electric motors which are powered by a 95kWh battery. This combined unit is capable of producing 355bhp of power.

The car promises a range of 446km on a single charge and can sprint from 0-100kmph in 6.2 seconds.

However, in boost mode, it churns out 402bhp of power for 8 seconds and can accelerate from 0-100kmph in 5.7 seconds.

    Information

When will it arrive in India?

The Audi e-tron Sportback will go on sale in European markets starting 2020. There is no word on its availability in India as of now. However, according to reports, the German automaker might introduce the fully-electric SUV to our shores sometime in 2021.
