2026 Vanquish Volante is Aston Martin's fastest convertible ever
What's the story
Aston Martin has unveiled its flagship model, the 2026 Vanquish Volante. The latest entrant in the luxury car segment is a convertible version of the coupe that debuted earlier this year.
The company plans to limit production of both models to less than 1,000 units per year.
The Volante has an impressive top speed of 345km/h, making it the fastest production convertible Aston Martin has ever made.
Engine
Power-packed performance
The Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is powered by an 823hp, 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, just like its coupe sibling.
This powertrain has been developed specifically for the new flagship models and delivers peak torque from 2,000 to 5,000rpm.
The car's performance is impressive with a 0-100km/h run in just 3.4 seconds.
Vehicle dynamics
Advanced transmission and suspension system
The Vanquish Volante's power reaches the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed, rear-mounted torque-converter transaxle.
The car also comes with an electronically controlled rear differential, which, according to Aston Martin, adds agility in low and medium-speed corners while enhancing control in high-speed situations.
The Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers have been specially tuned for the convertible's extra weight, ensuring optimal performance on the road.
Design
Aesthetic appeal and practical features
The design of the new Vanquish Volante is in line with its coupe sibling, retaining an elegant look even after the grille has been expanded by over 13%.
The soft top - dubbed K-fold by Aston Martin - opens in just 14 seconds and closes in 16 seconds.
It can be operated from a key fob, even at speeds of up to 50km/h for sudden rain.
Interior
Interiors and pricing
The interior of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante is similar to that of the coupe, with a two-seat setup and physical controls for all important driver functions.
Two 10.3-inch digital displays take care of infotainment and gage cluster duties when required.
Vanquish Volante can be ordered now, with first deliveries expected in Q3 2025.
Prices are yet to be announced but are expected to start around $500,000 (roughly ₹4.3 crore) mark.
