India-bound Aprilia GPR 250 superbike unveiled: Details here
Italian automaker Aprilia took the covers off its latest offering, the GPR 250, in China. The quarter-liter motorcycle is likely to arrive in India by 2020-end. Meanwhile, the chances are high that the company might showcase it during the Auto Expo 2020 in February. As for the key highlights, the bike comes with a fully-faired design, powerful engine, and modern safety features.
Aprilia GPR 250: At a glance
The Aprilia GPR 250 comes with a fully-faired sporty look with a dual-tone paint scheme, a tall windshield, body-colored front guard, and blacked-out mirrors. The muscular looking fuel tank, stepped-up seats, and blacked-out alloy wheels add to its sporty stance. Further, the motorcycle houses a digital-analog instrument console and an all-LED lighting setup.
Power and performance
The Aprilia GPR 250 is powered by a 249.2cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine which comes mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. This engine is capable of producing 26.5PS of maximum power and 22Nm of peak torque.

In the safety department, the Aprilia GPR 250 comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels along with dual-channel ABS to avoid skidding while braking. Also, the motorcycle houses upside-down (USD) fork suspension on the front and an adjustable monoshock unit on the rear to handle the suspension duties.
Finally, what will be the pricing?
There is no official word about Aprilia GPR 250's pricing in India as of now. However, going by the specs, it is expected to be priced around Rs. 3 lakh. Once launched, it will lock horns with rivals like Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and CBR250R.
