Renault set to launch third-generation Duster in India by 2025
Renault, the renowned French automobile manufacturer, is gearing up to introduce its third-generation Duster in India by 2025. The model, first unveiled as a Dacia-badged variant in November 2023, has been highly anticipated since pictures leaked online three months prior. Renault has stated that this new Duster will play a pivotal role in its growth strategy for the Indian market, known as Renaulution.
Design will take cues from Dacia Bigster Concept
The design of the forthcoming Duster draws inspiration from the Dacia Bigster concept, boasting boxy proportions and sleek headlamps. Unique design elements include Y-shaped LED daytime running lights, a large air dam, circular fog lights, and a chiseled bonnet. The 'Renault' lettering on the front grille is a distinctive feature of this model. The vehicle's sides are adorned with 18-inch dual-tone alloy rims, squared-off wheel arches, plastic cladding in the lower part, and roof rails.
Redesigned cabin and cutting-edge tech
The new Renault Duster will sport a redesigned cabin equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment panel, compatible with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, an Arkamys six-speaker sound system, cruise control, and wireless charging. The central console houses AC vents and controls for the HVAC and infotainment systems. To cater to charging needs, the SUV will also feature a 12V socket and two USB-C charging ports.
Renault Duster will provide multiple powertrain options
The third-generation Duster will offer a range of engine options. In Europe, the SUV is equipped with a 1.6-liter petrol hybrid engine, paired with two electric motors, producing 140hp power. This engine also includes a 1.2kWh battery and regenerative braking system. In addition, there's a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol mill coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system, generating a total of 130hp power. The all-new Duster also offers a 1.0-liter petrol-LPG option and five terrain modes - Snow, Auto, Off-Road, Eco, and Mud/Sand.
