2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS goes official with improved performance
Porsche has unveiled its latest model, the 2025 Cayenne GTS, which continues to defy the trend toward electrification. The new GTS is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine that has been fine-tuned to deliver an additional 40hp and 40.6Nm. This upgrade pushes the total output to an impressive 493hp and 660.2Nm, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0-97km/h in just 4.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 275km/h.
Enhanced transmission and suspension
The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS's power is efficiently distributed to both axles through an eight-speed automatic transmission, enabling quicker gear changes in Sport or Sport Plus modes. The GTS variant is available for both the standard SUV and its 'Coupe' version. Porsche engineers have refined the suspension system, borrowing the front axle's pivot bearings from the high-end Turbo GT for sharper steering. The standard air suspension has been recalibrated for the GTS, lowering the ride height by 10mm.
Additional features and design enhancements
Porsche Cayenne GTS incorporates a separate water-cooling circuit for the AWD system. The Coupe version includes an adaptive rear spoiler and an optional exhaust with center-mounted tips. Porsche offers three packages that can reduce vehicle weight by 25kg. The new GTS stands out with red brake calipers, larger front air intakes, tinted headlights and taillights, and a Sport Design Package. The latter adds a dark finish to specific exterior elements like wheel arch extensions, rocker panels, and window surrounds.
Interior details and pricing of the new Cayenne GTS
The interior of the new Cayenne GTS is adorned with Race Tex microfiber on the door cards, headliner, steering wheel, and the middle of the eight-way adjustable seats. The starting price for the new Cayenne GTS is $126,895 (around ₹1.05 crore), while its Coupe counterpart begins at $131,495 (roughly ₹1.09 crore). Porsche has announced that these vehicles are expected to hit dealerships later this year.
