After 6-year gap, Aston Martin Vanquish returns with V12 engine
Aston Martin has announced the return of its iconic Vanquish model, following a six-year hiatus. The 2025 Aston Martin Vanquish features a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 engine capable of producing an impressive 824hp and features a lightweight carbon-fiber bodywork. This high-performance vehicle is priced starting at $420,000 (roughly ₹3.5 crore, before taxes) and will be limited to just 1,000 units per year.
2025 Vanquish: A return to Aston Martin's roots
The 2025 Vanquish marks a return to Aston Martin's roots, following an unsuccessful attempt to create a mid-engine supercar. The new model is designed as a luxurious GT car, boasting a top speed of 345km/h. Despite sharing basic dimensions with its predecessor, the engine has been significantly overhauled for increased power and torque (1,000Nm) while complying with stricter emission standards. It can accelerate from 0-97 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
Advanced features and design of the 2025 Vanquish
The engine of the 2025 Vanquish is paired with a rear-mounted eight-speed automatic gearbox, similar to the old DBS Superleggera. It also includes an electronically controlled limited-slip differential and a new feature called Boost Reserve. The car's bodywork is primarily made from carbon fiber, setting it apart from other models like the DB12 and Vantage. Aston Martin states that "the engine is 'unrecognizable' from the old one."
2025 Vanquish: A blend of modern technology and classic design
The 2025 Vanquish incorporates advanced chassis technology, including Bilstein DTX dampers, forged wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a six-axis inertial measurement unit for precise control. The interior design mirrors current Aston Martin models, featuring a new center console with physical controls and a bespoke infotainment system. Despite being longer, wider, and lower than the DB12, it maintains its distinctive Aston Martin look with unique features inspired by past models.
