The 2024 Maruti Swift will be offered in LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ trim levels.
New Swift features innovative Z Series engine
The latest Swift model is equipped with a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder, Z Series engine, replacing the four-cylinder K Series engine of the previous model. This new engine is designed to surpass its predecessor in terms of efficiency. Specifics reveal that it generates 82hp of power and a peak torque of 112Nm, slightly lower than the K Series mill's output by 8hp and 1Nm.
Improved fuel efficiency in new Maruti Swift
The fuel efficiency of the new Swift model is reported to be an impressive 25.72km/l, marking a significant increase from the previous model's ARAI-rated 22.38km/l. However, it remains unclear whether this figure pertains to the manual or automatic version of the vehicle. Additionally, a CNG-powered version of the new Swift is expected to be launched later this year.
Advanced features and safety kit in new Swift
The new Maruti Swift outperforms its predecessor with advanced features. The top-spec models will be equipped with a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen, an Arkamys sound system, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, and Type-C USB ports. Safety has been prioritized as well. Six airbags are now standard across all variants, with LED fog lights being an additional feature in higher variants.
