Jeep Wrangler revealed in India ahead of April 22 launch
Jeep is set to launch the updated Wrangler in India on April 22. The premium SUV will be available in two variants, Unlimited and Rubicon, and will be offered in five colors: Firecracker Red, Sarge Green, Bright White, Black, and Anvil. The refreshed model first debuted internationally about a year ago and is now ready to impress Indian consumers with its extensive design and feature upgrades.
Enhanced features and technology in the new Wrangler
The updated Jeep Wrangler boasts improved technology, safety measures, and off-road capabilities. Notable enhancements include a redesigned seven-slat grille, a "Gorilla Glass" windshield, and an advanced ADAS suite. The interior has been upgraded with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen powered by the Uconnect 5 system. There is also a new digital instrument panel, power-adjustable front seats, an Alpine audio system, and a noise cancellation system with seven microphones.
Wrangler retains existing powertrain
Despite the extensive upgrades, the Wrangler SUV retains its existing powertrain. The vehicle will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine coupled with an eight-speed automatic torque converter unit. This engine delivers 268hp and 400Nm of peak torque while distributing power to all four wheels through Jeep's improved Selec-Trac and Rock-Trac 4WD system. It is likely to start at around ₹65 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
