2024 Hyundai IONIQ 5's design changes revealed in spy shots
Hyundai introduced the IONIQ 5 in February 2021, and the EV is now ready to receive a design revamp. The updated model is anticipated to be revealed by mid-2024. The latest spy images from Motor1 showcase the revamped IONIQ 5 covered in camouflage and cladding, making it challenging to pinpoint the exact modifications. Nonetheless, it seems that the primary updates will be concentrated on the front and rear ends, with more subdued bumpers and repositioned parking sensors.
Interior design may remain unaltered
Although the design is being updated, the pixelated lights on the IONIQ 5 appear to remain untouched. However, Hyundai might introduce new graphics to give them a fresh look. The camouflage on the doors implies that the sharp body lines along the sides of the vehicle may not survive the redesign. The spy photos do not offer any clues about potential interior updates or alterations to the dual-screen setup for the instrument display and infotainment screen.
No sign of major powertrain updates
Regarding powertrain updates, there are no signs of major changes on the upcoming IONIQ 5, but Hyundai might fine-tune the motors and batteries for improved efficiency. More information is likely to emerge soon. The revamped IONIQ 5 could coincide with Hyundai's launch of a new N-Line trim, which would be positioned between the 320hp dual-motor model and the high-performance IONIQ 5 N with up to 641hp. The speculated N-Line variant may include a distinctive body kit, wheels, and other enhancements.
