What to expect from facelifted Hyundai Alcazar in India?
Hyundai continues to test the Alcazar (facelift) ahead of its expected launch in the coming months. The three-row SUV was recently spotted on international soil, with new spy shots revealing a partially camouflaged test mule. The updated model will feature a tweaked split headlight setup, new LED DRL elements, a fresh grille with chrome inserts, as well as a new set of alloy wheels.
New Alcazar to feature ADAS suite
The front bumper of the Alcazar (facelift) houses a radar, indicating that the vehicle will be equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite at launch. The 2024 Hyundai Alcazar's interior will also receive updates in line with the new Creta launched earlier this year. These updates include two 10.25-inch screens, a 360-degree-view camera, ventilated front seats, a blind-spot monitor, an electrically adjustable driver's seat, and an electronic parking brake.
Powertrains to remain unchanged
The powertrains for the new Alcazar are expected to remain unchanged from the outgoing model. Currently, it is offered with 1.5-liter turbo-petrol and diesel mills, paired with six-speed manual, six-speed torque converter automatic, and seven-speed DCT gearboxes.
It will have a redesigned front and rear
The redesigned front of the Alcazar aligns with the facelifted Creta's design, but features a larger grille to distinguish it from its 5-seater sibling. The vehicle will also sport a new set of squared LED headlamps and a unique design for the alloy wheels. The rear is expected to feature vertically positioned connected LED taillamps and a dual-tip exhaust system, akin to the current model.
