Bajaj Auto working on 2024 Pulsar RS200: What to expect
Bajaj Auto is set to introduce the 2024 version of the Pulsar RS200, as part of its ongoing initiative to refresh the Pulsar series. The updated motorcycle is expected to hit the market soon, boasting innovative features, designed to compete against rivals like Hero Karizma XMR and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250. The forthcoming model will feature a visual overhaul, including a more athletic fairing, and fresh colors and graphics reflecting modern design trends.
Design and technology
The 2024 Pulsar RS200 is tipped to come equipped with an LED headlamp and USD forks at the front, a feature previously seen in several Pulsar models. The bike's tech kit is also due for an upgrade, with plans for a comprehensive digital instrument console, that will include Bluetooth connectivity. This addition will enable riders to connect their smartphones for access to various functions beyond basic calls, SMS, and music capabilities, like turn-by-turn navigation.
What about its performance?
The engine specifications for the 2024 Pulsar RS200 will mirror those of its predecessor, featuring a 199.5cc, liquid-cooled unit that delivers 24.5hp and 18.7Nm. The bike will continue to feature 17-inch wheels, along with retaining the Nitrox mono-shock absorber with Canister at the rear. The new model will also offer dual-channel ABS as standard, equipped with disc brakes at both front and rear.
How much will it cost?
Despite the enhancements, the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is projected to remain one of the most cost-effective fully-faired bikes in its category. Even with a minor price hike from the current starting price of ₹1.73 lakh, it will still be competitively priced against rivals like Hero Karizma XMR and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, which cost ₹1.80 lakh and ₹1.81 lakh, respectively.
