2023 KTM 790 Adventure unveiled with revised styling: Check features
KTM has showcased the 2023 iteration of the 790 Adventure for the global markets. The motorcycle gets revised styling in the form of a new, slimmer fairing and two color options: MY-23 Black and MY-23 White. The ADV is designed by the brand in Mattighofen, Austria, and will be produced at CFMOTO's facility in China. It runs on a 799cc, parallel-twin engine.
Why does this story matter?
The Adventure range of motorcycles by KTM is considered aspirational products by many in the middleweight ADV segment. They draw inspiration from capable off-road racing motorcycles from the brand's global line-up. The 790 Adventure has always been a bridging vehicle for people looking to upgrade to the 1290 Adventure range. The updated motorcycle features a revised design language similar to the 450 Rally model.
The ADV sports an all-LED lighting setup and wire-spoked wheels
The 2023 KTM 790 Adventure has an aggressive design language and flaunts an LED headlamp with integrated DRLs, an upright windscreen, a sloping 20-liter fuel tank, a sleek fairing with auxiliary lights, split-type seats, a bash plate, an upswept exhaust, and a slim LED taillamp. It packs a Bluetooth-enabled 5.0-inch TFT instrument cluster, which works with Connect App. The motorcycle rides on wire-spoked wheels.
It is backed by 799cc, parallel-twin engine
The 2023 KTM 790 Adventure is fueled by a 799cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that develops a maximum power of 93.8bhp at 8,000rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. It is linked to a 6-speed gearbox with a PASC anti-hopping clutch and bi-directional quickshifter.
The motorcycle is equipped with disc brakes on both wheels
For the safety of the rider, the KTM 790 Adventure comes equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, along with cornering ABS, traction control, and multiple riding modes. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are taken care of by 43mm "WP APEX" inverted forks on the front and a preload-adjustable "WP APEX" mono-shock unit on the rear.
