Third-generation Ford Everest goes official in three trims: Details here
US automaker Ford has unveiled its third-generation Everest SUV for the international markets. It is offered in three trim levels, namely Sport, Titanium, and Platinum. As for the highlights, the vehicle has an imposing design and a luxurious cabin with a bevy of tech-based features. It is offered with a choice of three petrol as well as diesel engines.
Why does this story matter?
The third-generation Ford Everest offers better looks, more features, and improved performance as compared to the outgoing model. It should attract quite a few customers in the international markets. The previous-generation model was available in India as the Endeavour. However, the new car is unlikely to come here as the brand has wrapped up operations on our shores.
The car has matrix LED headlights and L-shaped taillamps
The 2023 Ford Everest has a Ranger-inspired look, featuring a muscular bonnet, a large grille bisected by a chrome bar, a wide air dam, and C-shaped matrix LED headlights. It is flanked by roof rails, ORVMs, longer rear doors, side-steppers, and designer wheels. A wide bar on the tailgate with "Everest" lettering and L-shaped taillamps grace the rear end of the four-wheeler.
The SUV gets 3 rows of seats and 360-degree-view camera
The new Ford Everest has a spacious three-row cabin with parking sensors, a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, and an 8.0-inch/12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. A portrait-oriented 10.1-inch/12.0-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen infotainment system with support for the latest connectivity facilities is also available. For the safety of the passengers, a 360-degree-view camera, adaptive cruise control, automatic evasive steer assist, post-collision braking, and lane-keeping assist are offered.
It has water wading capabilities of up to 800mm
The Ford Everest runs on a 3.0-liter, turbo-diesel V6 engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel mill, and a 2.3-liter EcoBoost petrol unit. However, the power figures are yet to be disclosed. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Wider tracks and tweaked dampers ensure better performance. The car has water wading capabilities of up to 800mm.
