2022 Zongshen Cyclone RT3 breaks cover in Chinese market
Chinese automaker Zongshen has launched the 2022 iteration of the Cyclone RT3 maxi-style scooter in its home country. As for the highlights, the two-wheeler has an aggressive design and offers lots of features, including an electronically-adjustable windshield and a heated seat. It is powered by a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out a maximum power of 22.7hp.
Why does this story matter?
The 2022 Zongshen Cyclone RT3 is a good-looking vehicle loaded to the brim with features and offers decent performance. It should be quite popular in the Chinese market. However, the two-wheeler is unlikely to make its way to our shores as the brand has no presence here. However, if it debuts here, the competition in the market will be raised significantly.
The scooter packs a 17-liter fuel tank and heated grips
The 2022 Zongshen Cyclone RT3 sports a headlight-mounted front apron, a tall windscreen, heated seat and grips, a side-mounted exhaust, and motorbike-like folding mirrors. It can be unlocked using Zongshen's smartwatch. The maxi-scooter packs a Bluetooth-enabled TFT instrument console, a tire pressure monitor, and a huge 17-liter fuel tank. It rides on 15-inch front and 14-inch rear alloy or wire-spoked wheels.
It attains a top speed of 120km/h
The new Zongshen Cyclone RT3 is fueled by a 250cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 22.7hp and a peak torque of 22.5Nm. The vehicle hits a top speed of 120km/h.
It gets dual rear shock absorbers
To ensure the safety of the rider, the 2022 Zongshen Cyclone RT3 is equipped with disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. It should also get dual-channel ABS for improved handling. Suspension duties on the maxi-style scooter are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front end and twin shock absorbers on the rear side.
