2022 Suzuki Saluto 125 scooter, with retro design, goes official
Japanese automaker Suzuki has launched the 2022 version of its Saluto scooter in Taiwan. It is unclear whether it will be introduced in India. As for the highlights, the vehicle has a retro-inspired design and gets an LED headlight as well as a semi-digital instrument cluster. It is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 8.67hp.
Why does this story matter?
The 2022 Suzuki Saluto 125 is a good-looking vehicle with a ton of features and great performance. It should attract a lot of buyers in Taiwan. However, the two-wheeler's arrival in India seems questionable as it is expensive for the market. If it does come here, the competition in the market will be raised to a great extent.
The scooter has a USB charging port and hazard lamp
The 2022 Suzuki Saluto 125 has an indicator-mounted front apron, a single-piece seat with a pillion grab rail, anti-skid strips on the footboard, and circular mirrors. The scooter packs an LED headlight, a hazard lamp, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and a USB charging port. It rides on blacked-out wheels and is offered in two new shades of Luca Green and Genoa Red.
It is fueled by a 9hp, 124cc engine
The new Suzuki Saluto 125 draws power from a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) engine. The mill puts out a maximum power of 8.67hp and a peak torque of 9.6Nm.
It gets telescopic front forks
To ensure the safety of the rider, the 2022 Suzuki Saluto 125 is equipped with a disc brake on the front wheel and a drum brake on the rear wheel. Suspension duties on the retro-styled scooter are taken care of by telescopic forks on the front side and a single shock absorber on the rear end.
