2022 Renault KWID launched in India at Rs. 4.5 lakh
French automaker Renault has launched the 2022 version of its KWID hatchback in India. Its price starts at Rs. 4.49 lakh. The car flaunts cosmetic changes, offers more safety features, and gets a new RXL (O) variant positioned above the base RXL trim. Under the hood, it is offered with a choice of 0.8-liter and 1.0-liter, three-cylinder petrol engines.

Renault KWID has been up for grabs in India since 2015 and is also exported to other countries from here. The introduction of the new version here should raise its appeal in the market. The four-wheeler offers good looks and is priced competitively on our shores. It takes on rivals such as Hyundai SANTRO and Maruti Suzuki Alto.
The car has LED taillights and dual-tone wheels
Renault KWID has a muscular bonnet, a chrome-accented grille, a wide air dam, split-style headlights, roof rails, and blacked-out B-pillars. The RXL (O) variant sports new door decals and wheel covers as well as LED taillights. Meanwhile, the Climber models flaunt two new dual-tone shades with a contrasting black roof. Dual-tone flex wheels are also available.
Two engine options are available
The 2022 Renault KWID runs on a 0.8-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine that makes 54hp/72Nm and a 1.0-liter petrol mill that generates 68hp/91Nm. Transmission duties on the hatchback are handled by a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
The hatchback gets power windows and 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel
Renault KWID has a spacious cabin with front power windows, a single-DIN stereo system with Bluetooth, two front speakers, and a power steering wheel. It houses an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. For ensuring the passengers' safety, a driver-side seatbelt pre-tensioner and load limiter, dual front airbags, reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensors, and ABS are available.

In India, the 2022 iteration of the Renault KWID hatchback starts at Rs. 4.49 lakh for the base RXL 0.8 model and goes up to Rs. 5.83 lakh for the range-topping Climber AMT variant (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
