    What's the story

BMW-owned luxury brand MINI has introduced a set of updates to its John Cooper Works model for the 2022 model year.

The premium vehicle sports refreshed styling, an upmarket cabin with a host of features, and an adaptive suspension setup. It draws power from a 2.0-liter twin-turbo engine and can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 6.1 seconds.

    Here are more details.

    Exteriors

It sports a large hexagonal grille

The 2022 MINI John Cooper Works has an eye-catching design, featuring a hexagonal radiator grille, a muscular bonnet, a roof-mounted spoiler, a new rear diffuser, twin exhaust tips, and rounded LED headlights.

It also houses redesigned side scuttles, designer alloy wheels, and larger air vents on the front bumper to ensure optimum temperature control of the brakes and powertrain at the same time.

    Information

The vehicle runs on a 231hp, 2.0-liter engine

MINI John Cooper Works draws power from a 2.0-liter twin-turbo petrol mill linked to a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The mill generates 231hp of power and 320Nm of torque. The motor allows the car to sprint from 0-100km/h in 6.1 seconds.

    Interiors

The cabin has a revised infotainment system

The 2022 MINI John Cooper Works offers a spacious Piano Black high gloss cabin with leather upholstery and red accents. It has new ambient lighting options and a 3-spoke multifunctional leather-wrapped steering wheel.

It also packs an updated touchscreen infotainment panel with Live Widgets and a head-up display.

All standard safety options including multiple airbags and a rear-view camera are also available.

    Information

2022 MINI John Cooper Works: Pricing and availability

The pricing and availability details of the 2022 MINI John Cooper Works are yet to be revealed. However, in India, it should carry some premium over the outgoing model, which is priced at Rs. 44.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
