2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno to get 40+ connected car features
Maruti Suzuki will launch its 2022 Baleno hatchback in India on February 23. Now, the brand has put out a teaser that confirms that the vehicle will be equipped with Suzuki Connect suite which provides over 40 connected car features, including safety alerts, vehicle tracking, and remote operations. The car will also have a refreshed look and shall run on a 1.2-liter petrol engine.

The four-wheeler will receive several changes both inside and out to give it a more modern feel. It will rival the likes of Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20.
The hatchback will be offered in six colors
The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will sport a muscular bonnet, a wide mesh grille, a redesigned front bumper, swept-back LED headlights, and wrap-around taillamps. It will be flanked by ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and designer alloy wheels. The car will be up for grabs in six shades, including Grandeur Gray, Pearl Arctic White, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, Lux Beige, and Celestial Blue.
It will run on an 89hp, 1.2-liter engine
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be fueled by a 1.2-liter petrol engine that will generate 89hp/113Nm. The mill will be paired to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. An idle start/stop function will also be offered.
The vehicle will get a 360-degree-view camera and head-up display
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will have a 5-seater cabin, featuring a revamped dashboard, a head-up display, and a flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel. It will pack a 9.0-inch 'free-standing' touchscreen infotainment panel with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and Suzuki Connect connected car technology. Six airbags and a 360-degree-view camera will ensure the safety of the passengers.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Pricing and availability
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno should carry a slight premium over the outgoing model which begins at Rs. 6.14 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be available in 11 variants across four trim levels: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The bookings for the hatchback are currently open.
