Prior to launch, 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno's variant details leaked
Maruti Suzuki will launch the 2022 iteration of its Baleno hatchback in India on February 23. The car will be offered in 11 variants across four trim levels, namely, Sigma, Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. Both manual and AMT transmission options will be available. The vehicle will have a revised look, some new-age features, and will run on a 1.2-liter petrol engine.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno was introduced in India in 2015 and got an update in 2019. Currently, it is the bestselling hatchback on our shores. The new version of the car will receive several changes that will make it even more appealing to buyers in the market. It will take on rivals like the Volkswagen Polo and Hyundai i20.
The car will have LED headlamps and DRLs
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will sport redesigned LED projector headlights with LED DRLs, a wide grille, and a refreshed front bumper. It will be flanked by blacked-out B-pillars, ORVMs, and alloy wheels. Wrap-around LED taillights and an integrated spoiler will be available on the rear. Dimensions-wise, the car will be 3,990mm long, 1,745mm wide, and shall tip the scales at 1,410kg.
It will be powered by an 89hp, 1.2-liter engine
The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno will draw power from a 1.2-liter petrol engine that will make 89hp/113Nm. The motor will be linked to a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. An idle start/stop function will also be available.
The hatchback will get a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment panel
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno will have a 5-seater cabin, featuring a revamped dashboard, repositioned AC vents, a head-up display, and a flat-bottom multifunctional steering wheel. The passengers' safety will be ensured by a 360-degree-view camera, six airbags, and Electronic Stability Program. It will also house a 'free-standing' 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment console with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno: Pricing
Maruti Suzuki will disclose the availability and pricing details of the 2022 Baleno in India at the launch event on February 23. However, it is tipped to carry some premium over the outgoing model which begins at Rs. 6.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
